iTunes\u304c\u8d77\u52d5\u3067\u304d\u306a\u3044\u3002C++ Runtime Library\u304b\u3089\u306eRuntime Error\u3002\u30a8\u30e9\u30fc\u756a\u53f7R6034\uff0ciTunes\u306e\u30a2\u30c3\u30d7\u30b0\u30ec\u30fc\u30c9\u5f8c<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Environment (\u74b0\u5883\uff09<\/h2>\n

OS: In my case, Windows 7 Professional 64bit Service Pack 1 but Apple\u2019s support article said it may occurs on Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.<\/p>\n

Upgraded iTunes from 11.1.3 to 11.1.4<\/p>\n

OS: \u79c1\u306e\u5834\u5408\u306f\uff0cWindows 7 Professional 64bit Service Pack 1\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u304c\uff0cApple\u306e\u30b5\u30dd\u30fc\u30c8\u8a18\u4e8b\u306b\u3088\u308c\u3070\u3053\u306e\u554f\u984c\u306fWindows Vista, Windows 7 \u53ca\u3073Windows 8\u3067\u8d77\u304d\u3046\u308b\u3002<\/p>\n

iTunes\u309211.1.3\u304b\u308911.1.4\u306b\u30a2\u30c3\u30d7\u30c7\u30fc\u30c8\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Phenomenon\uff08\u73fe\u8c61\uff09<\/h2>\n

It is impossible to start iTunes by a “Runtime Error!” with the error box above then the one shown below.<\/p>\n

It seems that the origin of the error is C++ Runtime Library. The error number is R6034.<\/p>\n

iTunes\u304c “Runtime Error!” \u767a\u751f\u306b\u3088\u308a\u8d77\u52d5\u3067\u304d\u306a\u3044\u3002\u4e0a\u306b\u793a\u3059\u30a8\u30e9\u30fc\u30dc\u30c3\u30af\u30b9\uff0c\u6b21\u3044\u3067\u4e0b\u306b\u793a\u3059\u30a8\u30e9\u30fc\u30dc\u30c3\u30af\u30b9\u304c\u73fe\u308c\u308b\u3002<\/p>\n

Observation\uff08\u6240\u898b\uff09<\/h2>\n

The iTunes was updated automatically by the “Apple Software Update” program from 11.1.3 to 11.1.4 but this update was failed by some reasons.<\/p>\n

Presumably, this failure left some program files which are incompatible to the environment before the upgrade attempt then the system was gone into the problematic condition. Other Apple products such as Quicktime also became disabled to start by the same error.<\/p>\n

iTunes\u304c”Apple Software Update”\u30d7\u30ed\u30b0\u30e9\u30e0\u306b\u3088\u308a\u81ea\u52d5\u7684\u306b11.1.3\u304b\u308911.1.4\u306b\u30a2\u30c3\u30d7\u30c7\u30fc\u30c8\u3055\u308c\u305f\u304c\uff0c\u3053\u306e\u30a2\u30c3\u30d7\u30c7\u30fc\u30c8\u304c\u306a\u3093\u3089\u304b\u306e\u539f\u56e0\u3067\u5931\u6557\u3057\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

\u304a\u305d\u3089\u304f\uff0c\u3053\u306e\u5931\u6557\u306b\u3088\u308a\u4e00\u90e8\u306e\u30d7\u30ed\u30b0\u30e9\u30e0\u30d5\u30a1\u30a4\u30eb\u304c\u30a2\u30c3\u30d7\u30b0\u30ec\u30fc\u30c9\u8a66\u884c\u306e\u524d\u306e\u72b6\u614b\u3068\u975e\u4e92\u63db\u306e\u307e\u307e\u6b8b\u3063\u3066\u304a\u308a\uff0c\u3053\u308c\u306b\u3088\u308a\u30b7\u30b9\u30c6\u30e0\u304c\u554f\u984c\u306e\u72b6\u614b\u306b\u9665\u3063\u305f\u3068\u601d\u308f\u308c\u308b\u3002<\/p>\n

Apple\u306e\u4ed6\u306e\u30d7\u30ed\u30b0\u30e9\u30e0\uff0c\u305f\u3068\u3048\u3070Quicktime\u306a\u3069\u3082\uff0c\u540c\u3058\u30a8\u30e9\u30fc\u3067\u8d77\u52d5\u3067\u304d\u306a\u304f\u306a\u308b\u3002<\/p>\n

Solution\uff08\u89e3\u6c7a\u6cd5\uff09<\/h2>\n

There are no quick solutions. After the error boxes, it may have a pop-up that suggests re-installing the iTunes but that won\u2019t fix the problem.<\/p>\n

The quickest but temporal solution is the System Restore to roll back your system to certain point in past and make sure that iTunes is rolled back to the previous version (in my case, 11.1.3). Then the iTunes will be restarted successfully but once the auto update runs again, the iTunes will end up with the same problem.<\/p>\n

The complete solution is uninstalling the iTunes and all related Apple programs then re-install the latest iTunes.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s step-by-step instruction.<\/p>\n

In my case, I also uninstalled iCloud and QuickTime just in case but I\u2019m not sure it was necessary to do so.<\/p>\n
